Chipper Days have arrived!

The Humboldt County Fire Safe Council is offering free chipping services to help residents dispose of debris generated from fuels reduction work around their homes. In other words: you cut, we chip!
Currently, this service is planned for Spring 2023 in the following areas:
- Shelter Cove and greater area, including Ettersburg, Whitethorn, and Whale Gulch
- Southern Humboldt greater area, including Garberville, Redway, Benbow, and Salmon Creek
Vegetation to be chipped will be inspected and must conform to the requirements linked below. Please note that this service is for disposal of brush and branches only and is not for tree removal.
