Humboldt County FLASH Program: new round of applications open now
Fire-adapted Landscapes & Safe Homes Program “FLASH” has additional funding available now. The program reimburses landowners for Defensible Space work on a per-acre basis, based on the type and density of vegetation. The landowner is responsible for hiring the work (or doing it themselves), tracking expenditures, and submitting forms. The reimburse rate has increased and eligibility requirements reduced for 2022.
Humboldt County is currently seeking applications through their survey, which will also be used to gauge interest in other opportunities such as chipper days and defensible space direct assistance.
