SHFSC's education program, founded in 2019, has become the preeminent source of wildfire preparedness information for both the general public and the many emerging community fire safe councils and Firewise groups in the region. These materials have been carefully curated to be relevant to the unique rural culture of SoHum.

Look for the SHFSC education booth at VFD benefits, farmers markets, and other community events. You will find over 40 handouts, including more than those listed below, and have the opportunity to get your technical questions answered by Kathy Weber. Her expertise in home hardening, defensible space, and landscaping with native plants makes for lively discussions.
